A tyre killer (spike barrier) punctures vehicle tyres using hardened steel spikes when a vehicle attempts unauthorized access. An axle breaker (Trishul 100) goes further — its heavy-duty steel blades are engineered to destroy not just tyres, but also the suspension, axles, and undercarriage of the vehicle. Axle breakers are used where maximum vehicle stopping force is required, such as military checkpoints or embassies.
A one-way tyre killer allows vehicles to pass freely in one direction (e.g., exit only) but punctures tyres if a vehicle attempts to pass in the reverse direction. A two-way (bi-directional) system allows controlled access in both directions and is typically operated electrically — spikes retract when authorized access is granted and rise when access is denied.
EFO (Emergency Fast Operation) is a high-speed response mode that raises the spike barrier in just 1 second during a security alert — enabling immediate lockdown. The Trishul 100 (STK 100) hydraulic axle breaker supports EFO mode. It is recommended for high-alert installations such as embassies, military checkpoints, and critical national infrastructure.
The Trishul 800M (STK 800M) gravitational (spring-loaded) tyre killer is ideal for parking exits and fuel stations. It is surface-mounted (no excavation required), allows vehicles to pass in one direction, and automatically prevents vehicles from reversing through. The Trishul 600M manual lever model is another option for parking lots where power is not available.
Installation depths vary by model: Trishul 100 requires ~550 mm; Trishul 200E/200H and 400E/400H require ~355 mm (shallow mount); Trishul 600M requires ~200 mm (shallow mount); Trishul 800M is surface-mounted (no excavation).
